Reinforced soil longitudinal structures (RSS)
Mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) structures combine controlled backfill with a selection of geosynthetic or steel soil reinforcements that are attached to a choice of flexible facing elements to form a solid river training longitudinal structure such as river walls supporting transport infrastuctures, quay walls or levees.
